		<description>The spec just says you need a unique id element... so, like, you couldn't reuse "first" for another div.  But there's nothing in there about not including it in closing tags.

Try running a sample page through the w3c's validator and see what it whines about.  :)

It'd also be interesting to see if that if you use the above trick if the browser will honor the id in the close tag and will know to ignore any other unclosed div's in the content and keep them from jacking up the rest of the page.</description>
